# About All Things Linux

> Who we are: a volunteer-driven non-profit Linux community, and how this documentation site fits in

## Who we are

**All Things Linux (ATL)** is a volunteer-driven **501(c)(3)** non-profit. We help people explore, master, and shape Linux through **open education**, **community-built tools**, and a **welcoming social hub**—notably a large Discord community and open-source projects maintained with and for contributors.

**Mantra:** *Connection. Education. Empowerment.*

This site uses **sidebar dropdowns** for each major surface (**Overview**, **portal**, atl.chat, atl.sh, and others) plus **Authoring** for Mintlify workflows. It is not a full organizational handbook. For governance, brand, and policies, use the resources below.

## This documentation site

**Overview** and **Authoring** describe how we work on **this** Mintlify repo. **API reference** uses a **sample OpenAPI** spec for the playground—it does not define a single production ATL HTTP API unless we publish a dedicated product spec.
